The final conference and last transnational meeting of the international VSPORT project (Volunteering in Sport) took place in the city of Kielce, Poland, attended by representatives from partner organizations from Poland, Austria, Spain, Bulgaria, Croatia, and Serbia.

In addition to consortium members, who presented their work and activities in international cooperation through brief presentations, a large number of volunteers from various socio-sporting organizations within the territory of Kielce attended the final conference.

Special guests at the conference included Ms. Kama Kepczynska from the organization “Creativity Works Europe” from Kielce and Mr. Steve Egan from the United Kingdom, who shared their many years of experience in the preparation and implementation of the Erasmus+ program through a panel discussion, emphasizing the importance and benefits of participation in European projects.

Following this, a final meeting of coordinators and partners was held, during which the implemented activities within the VSPORT project were presented, with a focus on the positive impact the project has had in the field of sports and beyond. The project coordinator – the host of the conference and final meeting, the “Regional Volunteer Center Kielce” expressed great satisfaction with the cooperation of all organizations involved in the project and the very successful implementation of all project tasks.

The sports sector, especially at the local level, heavily relies on volunteers in sports – involving volunteers in sports is a key factor for the success and long-term sustainability of sports organizations and events.

The VSPORT project contributes to the efforts of all participating organizations in promoting voluntary activities in sports and raising awareness about such engagement.
